Our busy law firm is growing and we are looking for talent that works hard to represent our clients well. The prime candidate will work seamlessly with both senior partners as well as administrative staff in an effort to effectively serve our clients.

• Perform research, draft briefs, pleadings, and motions
• Advise clients by weighing available options toward a successful outcome and plan a course of action
• Determine case strategies and solutions to serve client’s needs after analysis
• Work closely with and provide leadership to administrative staff concerning client billing, client meetings, and invoicing, as well as finalizing client projects
• Appear in court on behalf of clients and argue motions during legal proceedings
• Diligently manage case load, client meetings, billables, and finalized projects
• Draft and review contracts such as indemnities, warranties, and representations
• Assist clients with entity formation by creating structure, and organizational charts, determining appropriate members, managers, and shareholders
• Mitigate potential issues with roles and responsibilities within an organization
• Draft shareholder agreements, operating agreements, incentive share agreements, bylaws, and partnership agreements
• Negotiate purchase and sale agreements as buyer’s or seller’s counsel

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs is needed
• Candidates must currently be a member of their local bar association – active member preferred
• Successful completion of accredited law school with Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree with 2 years of related experience
• Decision-making, public speaking, problem-solving, interpersonal skills, and communication skills are a must
• Able to work independently while handling multiple files
• Minimum 4 years of transactional experience working in a law firm environment
• Graduation from law school with Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree and experience in representing clients for at least 5 years
• Advanced computer skills working with legal research programs (Westlaw and Lexis) required Case Management software knowledge preferred
