Job Description
This position is located within a healthcare facility, therefore, the successful candidate will be required to provide verification of full vaccination against Covid-19 provided prior to the start date, as required by a provincial health mandate.
A Research Associate position is available within the Department of Psychiatry to work in a research lab that focuses on understanding brain mechanisms associated with psychopathology in the general population and clinical samples. The lab has access to exceptional multidisciplinary research facilities including structural and functional MRI, PET, and TMS.
Applicants should have a strong background in human neuroimaging and neuroscience and must have received a Ph.D. in a relevant field. Candidates with successful publications in the fields of human neuroimaging and/or computational modeling are encouraged to apply.
The position requires experience with Plan, designing, ing and conducting research projects using a range of structural and functional magnetic resonance imaging methods Familiarity with packages for imaging analyses (e.g. SPM, AFNI, etc.) and packages for statistical analyses (e.g. R); skills in MATLAB, Python modeling of neuroimaging data together with clinical, cognitive and genetic data. Salary will be commensurate to prior experience.
The anticipated start date is flexible. This is a twelve-month appointment with the option of renewal for a further year.
