CHA Consulting, Inc. is currently seeking a GIS Technician to join our Asset Management Team based at a client site in Houston, TX.

The GIS Technician is responsible for providing Geographic Information System (GIS) technical services, which include map design, data creation, and basic spatial analysis and data management for our clients. REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Geography, GIS certificate, or another related degree
  • A minimum of 1 year of relevant GIS experience is required
  • Basic Microsoft Office skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access.
  • Basic ESRI ArcMap/ArcGIS Pro software skills preferred
  • Basic knowledge of geographically referenced data required (projections, datum, map scales, etc.)
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD, Smallworld, MapInfo, and Google Earth is a plus
  • Experience with or knowledge of natural gas pipelines is a plus
