Job Description

The Team:

Acting as a trusted partner to all business areas of Hermès Americas, the Hermès of Paris (HOP) IT Team leads comprehensive technology delivery, innovation, and support across the entire systems landscape in the region.

The Opportunity:

An exciting opportunity to join a technology team within the world leader of artisan-crafted luxury goods, this role will have exposure to a number of cross-functional departments and handle responsibilities that cover retail operations, omnichannel systems and integrations, customer development and CRM, and e-commerce.

As the Retail Technology Specialist, you will play a key role in not only delivering solutions on an expansive roadmap but also impacting the bottom line as these solutions help drive the business forward.

This role will require technical application skills, project management, and an understanding of retail POS (Point-of-Sale) systems, with a strong preference for anyone with experience in Cegid Y2.

The role includes exposure to both the front and back end of Cegid, with as much time spent in stores as in the digital factory. This is a key position in developing, improving, and supporting Hermes of Paris’ Cegid Y2 application, it’s an enhancement in usage and integration with other key systems at Hermes.

About the Role:

  • Manage Retail applications and related environment
  • Assist an IT Project Manager in planning and execution of New Store Openings
  • Support review of the CEGID application framework and data interfaces
  • Handle application upgrade cycle including release management, and end-user testing
  • Support retail, corporate, and special sale retail operations (POS and payment system)
  • Work with Hermes IT colleagues in Paris on CEGID Y2 support, upgrades, and enhancements
  • Research new application solutions within the CEGID Y2 suite to address business problems and propose solutions
  • Transfer skills as warranted to Help Desk staff for support purposes
  • Develop training concepts and user documentation for the CEGID Y2 suite for end users.

4 years of relevant experience.

Required “Hard” Skills:

  • Previous experience working on an application or development team, internal or external
  • Experience with application release schedules, user testing, and project management.
  • Experience with Microsoft SQL Server 2008 or later (database concepts and related services) and SQL language is preferred
  • Experience with applications data exchange interfaces
  • Familiarity with retail POS (Point of sale) systems, strong preference for Cegid Y2.
  • Experience in opening new stores from a technology perspective
  • Project coordination skills that are clearly demonstrable
