Job Description

The Marketing Specialist I facilitates the day-to-day operations for key dealer accounts within the Statements Program. Also responsible for project management and execution of assigned brand marketing initiatives in order to meet and exceed annual brand objectives.

Major Scope and Functions

PROGRAM ADMINISTRATION / SUPPORT

  • Collaborates with internal departments and external vendors to ensure and provide quality service to both internal and external clients.
  • Manage all account set-up processes from start to end, ensuring that procedures are followed correctly.
  • Initiates & facilitates execution of required action for account changes to include account changes & merchandising requests to ensure delivery expectations are met.
  • Maintain accurate records of customer information, inquiries, and actions.
  • Use reporting methods to monitor marketing and merchandising assets for the program.
  • Maintain superior knowledge of program guidelines to ensure that information communicated is accurate and complete.
  • Work towards achieving, maintaining, and exploring ways to improve current processes to better serve our customers.

PROJECT MANAGEMENT

  • Partner with cross-functional teams to understand needs for samples, collateral, technology-based initiatives, videos, public relations, and other marketing tools in preparation for new product launches and special projects.
  • Executes implementation of merchandising programs for various initiatives and collaborates with merchandising programs manager to systematically report on key metrics.
  • Responsible for managing the ongoing sample board status project; collaborates with marketing services to ensure sample boards are consistently at optimal inventory levels.
  • Ensures that marketing collateral is up to date, including product sales sheets, brochures, catalogs, and other materials.
  • Performs other related duties as required.

Type of Experience and Knowledge:

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field or equivalent experience. Knowledge of theoretical and practical aspects of marketing practices, project management, and office tools MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word)
  • 1-3 years experience in marketing or a similar role. Direct work experience in a marketing function, coordinating project requirements and effective resolution of diverse inquiries and non-routine matters.

Competencies:

  • Professional with strong communication skills, both verbal and written (phone, email, and online chat).
  • Able to use Microsoft Word/Windows/Excel/Outlook/PowerPoint, and Internet navigation.
  • Flexibility – ability to adapt to changing needs and circumstances.
  • Resourceful, detail-oriented, highly organized, work well under pressure, and able to prioritize.
  • Ensure tasks are performed carefully, accurately, and in accordance with specific instructions.
  • Possess the ability to follow projects through to completion.
  • Ability to work individually and as part of a team environment.
  • Exhibits and demonstrates the technical ability to perform required duties is practical in applying knowledge to assignments and maintains expertise by keeping current with new developments and procedures.
