The LA Digital team plays a meaningful role in leading the social strategy and crafting connected experiences that engage local consumers across key platforms. This position will synthesize information from external partners and across the organization to deliver clear, measurable strategies that demonstrate Nike’s leadership in Running and Fitness, and most importantly encourage and enable athletes* where they spend time inside and outside Nike’s digital ecosystem.

The candidate will be exposed to senior leaders within North America and Global Brand Marketing and throughout Consumer Direct Marketing, Brand Management, Digital Commerce, Integrated Media, and Brand Creative.

As a member of this team, you understand the technology and the role of our direct-to-consumer channels and see opportunities to better demonstrate the two with a focus on the Running and Fitness consumer.

You are always ready to be a thought partner, a digital evangelist, and a consumer advocate. You obsess with the latest trends in mobile, social media, and digital and are able to overlay consumer need to build impactful industry-leading solutions.


If this is you, you will be working with Consumer Direct Marketing, Brand Management, and One Creative to craft all the Running and Fitness experiences that live across Social and Apps. You are responsible for the channel strategy, the brief to creative, and supervising the final stages of implementation and publishing as well as performance insights.

A typical day/week looks like

  • Partner cross-functionally and with the City Brand team to communicate Digital channel priorities for Running and Fitness
  • Write and refine creative briefs to ensure platform-right, channel-right content is briefed and delivered by creative
  • Attend Creative Review to share concepts for your respective channels
  • Lead collaboration with the Creative team and vendors: agencies, creative freelancers, etc.
  • Lead and facilitate sports and athlete moments including on-the-ground support
  • Provide short and medium-term goal planning, synthesize program results & standard processes to increase efficiency
  • Partner across NDDC and Merchandising to implement commerce capabilities and integrate them into the overarching Digital Strategy
  • Partner with NA and Global social, channel and 365 teams, and external partners, to scale relevant initiatives beyond LA


In this role, you will sit in the Consumer Direct Marketing team, reporting to the Director of LA Digital. You will handle agency partners and work with internal teammates for programming, publishing needs, and metrics and insights. You will partner closely with the Consumer Direct Marketing, Integrated Media, and Running Brand Management teams, including North America and Global Basketball, as well as Catalyst Marketing and Sports Marketing.


  • Bachelor’s degree or higher, or a combination of relevant education, training, and experience
  • 5+ years of digital marketing experience working within a corporate or agency environment
  • Running/Fitness industry knowledge across Men’s and Women’s
  • A comprehensive grasp of the LA fitness landscape and the culture that defines it
  • Expertise in digital marketing, key marketing concepts, and tactics across the consumer funnel
  • Experience in handling up, across, and downstream with peers and partners
  • Experience working with the brand and creative teams on key digital and social platforms (examples of projects encouraged)
  • Comfortable in leading a constantly evolving platform landscape while providing clear POVs and willingness to align/educate/compromise with internal partners
  • Early adopter and problem solver for digital platforms (Comfortable trying new tools and adapting to process improvements)
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills including meeting facilitation
