The North America Brand Management Team (across women/men/Kids) is the marketing function responsible for leading and driving plans that serve the brand and business. The NYC Brand Management team plays a meaningful role in building powerful relationships and driving deep and meaningful engagement with our members. We are looking for a Brand Marketing Manager for Men’s Running to join our NYC Brand Management team.
 
In this role, the brand manager will be the key stakeholder in developing and driving long-term consumer engagement with our NYC consumers. This role will build and implement brand plans for our consumers that will not only grow the business but also create deep, significant relationships.
 
The ideal candidates in this space are future-forward problem solvers, and innovators, with a comprehensive grasp of the NYC running landscape and the culture that defines it. These individuals are highly analytical, solution-oriented, and results-driven. They are comfortable with ambiguity and are ready to dig in, work collaboratively and bring a positive attitude always.
 
They should also have the ability to lead multiple projects and build strong working relationships across a matrixed organization, as well as bring digital expertise to the heart of your experiences and an understanding of all functions of marketing. WHAT WILL YOU WORK ON? As Running Brand Marketing Manager, you are responsible for bringing key seasonal and 365 marketing campaigns to life.
 
This work will drive brand strength, fuel consumer demand, and strengthen our daily connection with our members. Leading with insights, you will obsess on how to make our brand, product, purpose, and seasonal messages resonate with our Running consumers.
 
You will be at the forefront of carrying out a foundational consumer strategy through branded content, services, partnerships, and experiences, which will come together as outstanding, full-funnel marketing plans. As an NYC Brand Marketing Manager, your typical day/week could look like this:
  • Supporting the development of annual, seasonal, and daily programming plans
  • Manage collaboration throughout the Consumer Code process to engage with our key cross-functional and cross-dimensional partners.
  • Support an end-to-end process to gain insight from consumers including cultural trends.
  • Partner with key members to define, adapt, extend and implement key experiences for members.
  • Support development of annual, seasonal, and daily programming plans.
  • Deliver consumer first plans from conceptualization to execution.
  • Pioneering new ways of working with Geographies and cross-functional and creative partners
  • Manage campaign progress measurement
  • Work back with brand operations to drive a clear work back schedule.
  • Collaborate with finance to track expenses against budgets and work closely with the inventory management and promo planning team to place product buys and ensure timely product program executions.
  • 20 % travel
WHO WILL YOU WORK WITH? As the NA Running Brand Manager, NYC, you will report directly to the NA NYC Men’s Brand Director. You will work with a multitude of groups within the organization, across all levels, including a team of Brand Management directors
 
managers, and specialists (across Women’s and Kids) as well as partner closely with our Insights, CDM, Brand Creative, Comms, Catalyst Marketing, Media, Global, and Geo teams. You will also manage external agencies. This is a team sport and will require consistent collaboration, partnership, and consensus with critical stakeholder groups in order to effectively lead.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING?

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business, or Communications, or a combination of relevant education, experience, and training
  • 6+ years of experience in consumer marketing or related experience in retail marketing and/or digital brand marketing
  • Demonstrated genuine passion and deep understanding of NYC, Running, Sneaker/Streetwear Culture, Fashion, and trends
  • Strong written and verbal/presentation skills!
  • Experience working within teams and a team-first mentality
  • Self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, agile culture—someone who adopts and leads through change and ambiguity
  • Digital acumen and experience
  • Ability to balance creativity with organization and subject area in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment
  • Proficiency in reading consumer data and crafting measurement and optimization plans
  • Strong project management, problem-solving, and analytical thinking skills!
  • Excellent relationship-building skills with the ability to influence working teams and key partners, gaining sponsorship and consensus from many levels
  • Detail oriented. This position requires someone who can build plans, and presentations, and keep the team moving cohesively in the right direction.
