We Are Hiring

Ascension is seeking Registered Nurses to help support the Associate & Occupational Health department as a PRN – RN.

The Associate & Occupational Health department has a strong team approach. You will be heard, supported, and encouraged each day by the team around you!

Hours are generally Monday – Friday and  Day Shift with the possibility of extended hours and some Saturday as needed during high volume needs.

What You Will Do

As an RN with Associate & Occupational Health, you will have the opportunity to provide health care services to the organization’s employees in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols of the healthcare organization.

  • Provide treatment for job-related injuries and illnesses.
  • Conduct pre-employment health screenings and immunization clinics.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable workplace safety laws and regulations. May also conduct safety training programs.
  • Provide employee counseling and referrals for occupational injuries and illnesses as well as other health-related matters.
  • Monitor trends and causes of employee safety events and work with colleagues to identify areas of safety risk.

What You Will Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
  • Registered Nurse credentialed from the Illinois Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.


  • A diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing is required.

Additional Preferences

Education and Experience:

  • Experienced in ER, Infection Prevention, outpatient, or school nursing.
  • Previous experience in Employee Health or Occupational Health is a plus.
  • Strong computer skills – The ability to use Microsoft or Google writing and spreadsheets are very important as we are paperless.
