The Semel Institute for Neuroscience and Human Behavior is seeking to hire a part-time Psychologist to join the Department of Psychiatry. You will be a member of several pediatric subspecialty care teams. You will provide integrative behavioral health services to pediatric youth and families. Primary duties include:

  • Provide care and services to children, adolescents, and their parents
  • Deliver behavioral health screening and tailored consultations
  • Evaluate and monitor symptoms, difficulties, and strengths/resources using interviews, questionnaires, and standardized tests
  • Provide individual, group, and family treatment and intervention
  • Provide recommendations to patients and families at program visits
  • Other clinical duties as assigned


  • Ph.D. or PsyD in Clinical Psychology or related field
  • Must be licensed as a psychologist in the State of California
  • Minimum of 1 experience working with medically ill youth and caregivers
  • Experience developing intervention programs for children and adolescents
  • Experience managing the behavior of individuals with psychiatry disorders across the life course
  • Knowledge and practice of delivering behavioral health screening and consultations within a fast-paced outpatient multidisciplinary pediatric treatment setting
  • Knowledge and practice of Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) (preferred)
  • Knowledge and practice of Family Based Therapy (FBT) (preferred)
  • Working knowledge of EPIC system (preferred)
  • Experience coordinating research projects including data collection, administering of assessments and interventions (preferred)
