Job Description

Your Responsibilities

As a Territory Sales Manager for John Deere, located in Phoenix, AZ you will.
  • Develop and implement a plan that delivers sales performance results in alignment with sales objectives for the region. Focuses on sales, channel partner development, and customer retention
  • Monitor channel partner performance and replace or upgrade low- performing channel partners
  • Promote the sale of products and services to channel partners and end users and is ultimately accountable for meeting sales and market share goals
  • Counsel channel partners on the product, marketing, financial, and/or management-related matters
  • Direct dealer location planning efforts by managing the analysis of market coverage and performance to determine the most effective locations for retail outlets
  • Coach and counsel other employees to promote employee development and professional growth; provides guidance to field staff to manage channel partner and customer relationships
  • Provide supervision of subordinate employees and/or team that includes placement, work direction, coaching, development, and performance management

  • Knowledge of dealers and other channels
  • Skill in business plan development
  • Understanding complex processes and strategies for sales and marketing
  • Knowledge of industry appropriate for the area of responsibility (markets, products, competitors, customers, distribution trends)
  • Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills

Ideally, you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:
